Last weekend showed that just a little bit of sunshine goes a long way. Friday night was quiz night and our restaurant was packed full of people battling it out to win first place in our general knowledge quiz. Whilst the evening was fun, its aim was to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and it did just that with a whopping £900 being raised for the charity – thank you to everyone who came along and gave so generously. Saturday then welcomed the first of our Wildlife Weekends; Dorset Wildlife Trust was with us giving advice and there was a demo from Dry Stone wall experts AF landscapes – their fabulous creations are still in the garden centre so do pop in if you need a bit of inspiration.

On Sunday we welcomed Sherborne Town Band to our marquee and they played beautifully whilst guests enjoyed cream teas in the sunshine; and on Monday over 120 people turned up to listen to the beautiful sound of opera singer Teresa De-Roberta and to listen to a talk from Sara Jones. Next stop is Henry V by Illyria in the Walled Garden this evening and tomorrow, Toby Buckland will be speaking in our marquee – tickets are still available in advance or on the door so don’t miss out.

Here are a few pics from the weekend!
