Last night we welcomed over 120 people through the new doors of The Orangery at Poundbury Gardens for our ‘Fundraising’ fashion event and fun it certainly was. Guests enjoyed canapés and warm Winter Pimm’s while they walked amongst the Christmas displays whilst our ‘models’ got ready! A fantastic fashion show unfolded with country inspired clothes for men, women and children, and dotted amongst the models were James and Adam with their unique modelling of gardening items closely followed by Matt and Katie from Weldmar Hospicecare Trust with their choice of Christmas hats and accessories!

As compere for the evening I found it challenging to be heard above the laughter and applause – I had a real struggle to explain the history of the gilet. It really was a fantastic evening and most importantly a whopping £800 was raised in total for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust which is what the event was all about.
