This week saw the start of our Christmas activities, kicking off on Thursday with the first of our late-night festive shopping evenings at Poundbury Gardens. Guests were treated to mince pies and mulled wine as they browsed the Christmas decorations and many finished with a warming bowl of soup and a sandwich in the Engine Room. Tonight (Friday), Jack and Benny will be performing with a festive twist in the Engine Room and there will be an à la carte menu.

Next week we’re really getting into the swing of things. Real LIVE reindeer will be at Brimsmore Gardens for the late-night shopping evening on Tuesday and Father Christmas will be in his grotto (Ruby the big red bus, of course), plus you can have dinner in The Apple Tree Restaurant for just £5, from 4.30pm until 8.30pm on Tuesday 11th December.

Father Christmas will be at Castle Gardens from Wednesday, and on Thursday the garden centre will be open until 9pm for its first festive shopping evening. Phew!
Not only is all this going on but we now have a full selection of real Christmas Trees ready for you to collect, from the luxuriant Nordman Fir to the traditional Norway Spruce and a huge range of houseplants from cyclamen, poinsettias, orchids and more…and not forgetting our award-winning display of Christmas decorations.
