There have been celebrations and smiles all round this week at The Gardens Group, since we heard the news that The Apple Tree Farm Shop won Gold in the Farm Shop category of the Taste of the West Hospitality & Retail Awards 2013. We came up against some stiff competition in the awards, and Cath and her team shone through with their commitment to local sourcing, in fact they tweeted ‘local sourcing at its best,’ and described our farm shop as a ‘real gem’. The team at The Apple Tree take real pride in stocking local and seasonal produce from close-by producers and suppliers, and to have it recognised and receive such a well respected accolade is just brilliant. The certificate will be displayed with pride in the farm shop – and, we may just enter again next year.
