There is no ignoring the fact that we are ten Saturdays away from Christmas, especially when looking at all three of our garden centres. Christmas will arrive at Castle Gardens tonight, with the final grand unveiling of our award-winning displays. We have a whole host of festive activities coming up over the next ten weeks, including the re-launch of The Apple Tree Restaurant on Thursday 24th October. With a fresh new menu this will be the perfect venue for any Christmas party. What’s more on Saturday 16th November, Bare Bones will be back at The Engine Room, kicking off the festive party season, with their acoustic renditions of modern and classic tracks. Finally, for those of you who remember the little writer’s hut that we had at Castle Gardens in the summer, it will be retuning for one day only on Saturday 7th December. David Morris, curator of aircraft for the Fleet Air Arm Museum, will be selling and signing copies of his new book, Shepherds’ Huts and Living Vans, which is a beautiful book, illustrating the history and heritage of these wonderful ‘small mobile spaces’.
