This week we have been supporting the Butterfly Conservation project, ‘Munching Caterpillars’. Kate Merry from the organisation brought along a variety of plant species – such as wild marjoram – which attract moths and butterflies into our gardens. Kate ran a drop in centre on Thursday and Friday between 11am and 3pm for children on their half term to come and pot up a caterpillar ‘munch box ‘or a butterfly fuel station. Everyone got stuck in and it was a great way to teach the next generation what we can do to protect our beautiful moths and butterflies.
