Now that school’s out for the summer, we’ve got a whole host of free activities at each of our garden centres to keep your children out of mischief. Don’t miss our Moths and Butterflies Day next week at Brimsmore Gardens on Tuesday 29 July, Poundbury Gardens on Wednesday 30 July and Castle Gardens on Thursday 31 July. Each event is free to attend, with activities includng face painting, moth and butterfly detecting and talks from Dorset Wildlife Trust.
Later in the summer we’ll host our summer fancy dress party with pirates and mermaids as the theme on Friday 15 August. Gardeners of all ages will be welcome to climb aboard the pirate ship in their finest costumes, hunt for treasure and listen to legends of the sea.
If that’s not enough to the keep the little scallywags entertained, we’ll also be running an activity area at each of the centres throughout the summer holidays, with quizzes, games and weekly prizes. And if your children are already counting down the days until Christmas, Brimsmore Gardens will also be running a competition inviting children and big kids to design the train set for this year’s Christmas display.
Have a great summer!
Mike
