Last Saturday our Apple Tree Restaurant in Yeovil was transformed into a live music venue for an evening of classic tracks, dancing and food in aid of Coeliac UK. The event sold out well in advance and we raised more than £225 for Coeliac UK, which will go towards the fantastic work they do in support of people with the autoimmune condition, Coeliac disease.
Not only did we have local live band In the Pipeline playing covers of The Beatles, Elton John and Fleetwood Mac, a two course gluten meal was also served, Christine’s Puddings provided tasty gluten free samples and Eileen Mitchel from Coeliac UK’s Dorchester branch was on hand with information and fact sheets. Everyone had a great time and it was great to hear people’s compliments about how refreshing it was to go out for the evening and not have to worry what they were eating.
We will certainly be hosting more events like this in future, so if you’d like to be kept up to date with our gluten free events, offers and news then please email your details to Cath Collin at cath@thegardensgroup.co.uk.
