Lepidopterists of all ages are welcome to join us over the next two weekends to see what our in-house moth enthusiast, Steve catches in his overnight moth traps. The first free Moth Day is on Saturday 21 March at Brimsmore Gardens in Yeovil and if the dry weather holds and we have minimal wind, he hopes to capture specimens from five different species. As well as studying the species that are caught, there will be plenty of caterpillar pictures, fact sheets and children’s activities.
Moth Day is free to attend and will take place at each garden centre from 10am – 4pm on the following dates.
Brimsmore Gardens – 21 March 2015
Poundbury Gardens – 22 March 2015
Castle Gardens – 28 March 2015
