Keen bakers will have their cakes, bakes and biscuits judged by Lesley Waters, TV chef and owner of Lesley Waters Cookery School in Halstock, who will be taking on the role of head judge at Brimsmore Gardens’ Cake Off in Yeovil.

 

Judging will start at 3pm in The Apple Tree Restaurant, as part of a special Summer Tea Party, and prizes will be awarded in each category which include Celebration Cake, Afternoon Tea Cake and Batches and Tray Bakes. After judging the cakes will be sold for £1 per slice raising money for Yeovil Community Arts Association (YCAA), a local charity run by volunteers who organise international writing competition, the Yeovil Literary Prize. Everybody is welcome to join in the celebrations with afternoon tea being served in The Apple Tree Restaurant and a raffle with a selection of great prizes to be won.
