We enjoy nothing more than supporting young growers, especially when they come up with innovative and eco-friendly ideas for planting seeds. Poundbury Gardens is very excited to announce that that it will be selling Garden Grenades, which have been developed by pupils at Damers First School in the Eco Force Club and Entrepreneur Club.

After researching what people enjoy growing, the Garden Grenade pioneers set about designing their own eco-friendly packaging to put the wildflower seed bombs in, using the school’s recycled paper. They even came up with their own fantastic slogan, ‘Just plant and watch them bloom’.

The Garden Grenades are £2 per packet and all the money made will be going back into buying solar power iPad chargers for the classroom, as well as items for the school garden. You will also find the children running a stall at the Dorset Food and Arts Festival on Saturday 6 August.

To top it all off, the Eco Force Club at Damers First School has been announced as the Best Group in the National Virgin Fiver Competition, coming out on top among 736 other Primary Schools.
