We were delighted to hear about The Hub’s recent success at Yeovil in Bloom, winning Best Kept Community Garden for the second year running. If this wasn’t enough the charity, which provides skills and development opportunities for young people and adults with additional support needs received the RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood Award, as well as the Best Youth award.

During the summer holidays, over 40 trainees at the community support charity, as well as young people using the facilities and social group TAG, rolled up their sleeves and transformed the Scrapstore courtyard into a haven for the senses using only recycled furniture and vibrant edible plants.

The Hub, along with all its trainees and volunteers should be incredibly proud of themselves for achieving so much, and I hope this will inspire more young people to get stuck in and transform their local community areas – well done all!
