Matthew Biggs, esteemed gardening expert, author and radio personality, will be visiting Brimsmore Gardens on Saturday 26 October, as part of the Yeovil Literary Festival. Having released RHS: A Nation in Bloom earlier this year, a book that celebrates the people, plants and places of the Royal Horticultural Society, the regular BBC Radio 4 Gardener’s Question Time panellist will talk about how the nation’s largest gardening charity is flourishing more than ever.
Uncovering the beating heart of the RHS, as it leads the renaissance of interest and enthusiasm for all things horticultural, Matthew will draw attention to the inspirational campaigns that emphasise the importance of gardening as a hobby and inspire careers focused on improving the natural environment.
Tickets are £12 each, or £10 for members of the Yeovil Community Arts Association, and are available to buy from the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil. Doors will open at 6pm for light refreshments in The Apple Tree Restaurant.
