Following a flurry of creativity across the gardens and vegetable patches of Dorset and Somerset, I’m delighted to share these pictures of our Scarecrow Competition winners. Intended to occupy, inspire and educate those who were stuck at home, while demonstrating natural ways to protect crops, the environment and wildlife, the competition had entrants ranging in age from two to 82. All scarecrows were made using recycled items found around the home and are now standing proud, protecting their patches across the region. Well done to all, you certainly made life tough (and entertaining) for our judges!
