Accounts manager based at Castle Gardens in Sherborne
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an accounts manager to head our existing accounts team based in Sherborne.
Main duties:
• Overall responsibility for the correct and accurate recording of all transactions
• Overall responsibility for the purchase and sales ledgers (maintained by team members)
• Preparing information for monthly payroll and overall responsibility for payroll
• Processing payments
• Posting and reconciling intercompany transactions
• Maintaining good internal control processes
• Getting involved in ad hoc projects
• Overseeing the accounts team
• Supporting the managing director
Key skills and experience:
• Sage Line 50 experience essential
• Payroll experience essential – preferably Sage payroll
• Excellent excel skills and ability to quickly analyse data and prepare reports
• Experience of managing others preferred
• Retail accounts experience an advantage
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and a good understanding of the main critical areas of the business. They will have great people skills and enjoy working as part of a friendly team.
