We are delighted to announce that Brimsmore Gardens has scooped first prize in the Garden Centre Association’s annual Christmas Competition for the very first time – making it the 11th time that one of our garden centres has achieved this honour!
Judges commended the Christmas displays as “a joy to visit and experience”, having “bags of character, atmosphere and terrific staff”. The garden centre was up against stiff competition throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, so we are extremely proud to be placed in the top spot.
Louise has been planning the Christmas displays since January with sustainability in mind, before consciously constructing the displays using repurposed and recycled materials during a single week in October. The displays are home to a wide range of Christmas decorations and Christmas gifts, sourced from small scale makers and fair-trade businesses.
As with everything we do at The Gardens Group, we are always looking to innovate and improve, so this award is a reflection of the Brimsmore Gardens team’s unwavering commitment to these principles.
Sustainability has been central to our thoughts year-on-year and we’re very proud to have made such huge strides in making Christmas as kind on the planet as possible. We’ll take a moment to toast the team’s efforts, creativity and resourcefulness, then it’s back to work as we look forward to welcoming many more visitors into the displays before Christmas.
Our displays will be open seven days a week, until Christmas Eve, so we hope to see you soon.
Mike
