National Gardening Week will be held between May 1 – May 7 this year, run by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) with the aim of raising awareness of gardening and horticulture as well as encouraging more people to take part in outdoor activities such as gardening.
The theme of this year’s National Gardening Week is ‘create your Coronation container’ to celebrate His Majesty King Charles III. Containers are a great way for everyone to get involved, even if you have a small garden or balcony. If you don’t have a garden but have hanging basket space or even a window box, you can still join in.
Grab your trowel and get the whole family involved, letting your imagination run wild. We have lots of Coronation creations all around our garden centres with vibrant blue, white and red floral displays, so make sure to pop by for a touch of royal inspiration.
To see other people’s creations and to share your own photographs, use the hashtag #nationalgardeningweek on social media.
We look forward to seeing everyone’s creations and most importantly everyone outside enjoying the garden.
