Last Thursday, Karen from Brimsmore Gardens attended the opening of the new Breast Cancer Unit at Yeovil Hospital. The new Maple Unit, which is fitted with all the necessary equipment  to treat and diagnose breast cancer, has been funded entirely by the local community. As you enter the beautifully decorated space, there is a display of wooden maple leaves, and each carved leaf has the name of the individuals and organisations who have contributed to the fundraising effort for this much needed unit. Brimsmore Gardens is proud to feature in the middle of this wall, after raising £8,500 for Yeovil Hospital Charity.

Among the fundraising initiatives undertaken to raise such an impressive sum were a 100ft abseil down the side of Yeovil Hospital building and our team embarking on a static cycle ride from Land’s End to John o’ Groats.

We are thrilled to have been able to support this cause, which is close to many of our hearts.
