As we continue to operate in a more sustainable and eco conscious way, we were thrilled to open our newly refurbished houseplant area at Brimsmore on Saturday. Throughout January, the houseplant area was cleared to make way for a new polycarbonate greenhouse roof and automated ventilation system. Alan Down, immediate past president of the Horticultural Trades Association, declared it open, revealing our new and larger selection of houseplants.
More durable than glass and allowing for better climate control, UV protection and air flow, the new greenhouse roof, which was installed by Newspan, will help our dedicated team create the perfect conditions for the wide range of houseplants. In keeping with The Gardens Group’s environmental and sustainability initiatives, we are growing the range of peat free and British grown houseplants, with varieties from The Horti House and Opperman Plants among the products on offer.
