On Saturday 21 March, a free Wildlife Gardening Training Session will be held in The Butterfly House at Castle Gardens starting at 10am. Organised by Wild Sherborne, a group that brings together the skills of local organisations to help residents increase biodiversity in the town, the free training session will be delivered by Dorset Wildlife Trust.
Gardeners of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend this free Wildlife Gardening Training Session, where they will learn about the important role of wildlife, physical and mental benefits of gardening, and ways to welcome more wildlife into the garden. There will also be an opportunity for keen wildlife gardeners to become a Wild Sherborne Ambassador; a role that will be focussed on encouraging more gardeners in Sherborne to embrace wildlife friendly gardening practices, while offering help and advice.
Gardeners can register for this free Wildlife Gardening Training Session by emailing hedgehogs@wildsherborne.co.uk.
